M6811 Disassembler

MC68HC11 Chip

Thank you for your interest in the Dewtronics M6811 Code Seeking Disassembler...

This program (in any version) is provided free of charge and you may use it freely in all personal applications and endeavours.  However, use in a commercial or for-profit environment is strictly prohibited without prior written approval.

Currently, this program is available only as a DOS 16-bit application.  New versions are coming soon!  The next version will be a DOS 32-bit version, followed by a Win32 GUI version and ports to Linux.  Because of our recent switch away from all Microsoft applications and over to a Linux world, Linux versions will be favored over Win32 versions.  However, we will continue to support both environments for the target programs.  But, the Win32 versions may be delayed and take longer through the pipeline.

The first digit in the version number will denote its target platform -- well, sort of.  Here are how the first several versions will stack up:

At the present time, only version 1.0 is available for downloading as the bugs are still being ironed out of version 1.2, which will be the next release made available.  The shell for version 2.0 has been completed, but it still has quite a way to go before it will be released and it may get moved behind in the priority list until after one or more Linux versions have been written and released.

Please check back regularly for new versions, updates, and availability.  Also, if you find (or think you've found) a bug, feel free to write so that it can be corrected as soon as possible for upcoming releases.  Email comments and bug-reports to: Donna Whisnant.

After you've finished downloading the disassembler, be sure to enjoy the rest of my site.  Though still under very heavy construction, you'll still find many neat things there: Dewtronics Dynamic Home Page.

Before downloading, please fill in the following information.  This is used for informational purposes only and will not be released to anyone.  The reason for it is three-fold.  First, I enjoy seeing how far any programs I release travel, for instance, this program right now is being used in over 30 different countries.  Second, it will allow me to contact you, if you desire, to inform you of future updates, additions, and modifications -- though if you don't wish to be contacted, simply uncheck the "Please inform me of updates" box, but please still fill in the information.  And third, it will give me some insight as to what the users would like to see incorporated in this program and may yield ideas for new programs in the future.  Again, all information will be keep confidential and is completely optional.

Note that this form allows you to select versions that don't exist yet.  This is not an error!  This is my way of allowing you to vote for a particular version that you'd like to see "hurried up" in the development process.  If you select a version that doesn't exist, your request will be logged and the platform with the most unique hits will get a higher priority in my development work.  And, if you select "Please inform me of updates", then I'll email you and let you know when the platform you've selected is complete.  Thanks for your patience.

There is also a version selection called "other".  This allows you to recommend additional platforms, that haven't already been covered or mentioned, to be potential targets for the disassembler.  If you'd like to see this disassembler available for another platform, simply select "other" and describe the platform in the comments box.  But be warned that if it is a platform I don't have ready access to, I may ask you to take the source and port it to that platform, and then submit the new version for all to share.
