What's New

Many new and exciting things are happening at Dewtronics.  The current high-priority project is a new DOS-32 version of the M6811 Disassembler.  The BibleCodes-32 Software, which did have high priority, has been bumped because a rewrite of the M6811 is needed as a stepping stone for a <shhh!> secret processor.  Check out this, and other, projects by clicking the hyperlinks below.

Other projects in the upper-priority realm include the MIDI Distribution/routing box, the new Win-32 version of the M6811 Disassembler, and GenREP -- the Generic Reverse Engineering Platform.

M6811 Disassembler - two new versions in the works!  Win-32 Version - This will be a complete re-write of the previous DOS version.  It will be a stepping stone into GenREP.  New DOS-32 version - This will be an intermediary between the original DOS-16 version and the new Win-32 version.  This version will allow us to maintain support on a DOS based version, as well as to satisfy the immediate need for another disassembler for a <shhh!> secret processor!

Project Roulette - There are only two possible ways to actually beat the casino at the game of roulette - well, three if you count sheer dumb luck.  The two are Biased Wheel Detection and Newtonian/Quantum Mechanics.  Check our progress as we perfect our implementation of these two systems.  Soon we will be getting an actual wheel and start putting the computer to work solving the many complicated equations involved with the Newtonian/Quantum method.  Some sections of this research project will require you to register and obtain a username and password.

Bible Codes-32 - The Bible Codes-32 Software development is well underway.  Check it out!  This program was originally scheduled for release at the end of July 98, but was bumped to the end of September/beginning of October in 98 because the M6811 Disassembler project.  And it was bumped again because of preparation for the SEMA show in November 98 and the subsequent Project Roulette.  At this time, no new date has been set.

Presently, since we've recently come into possession of some new databases, it looks as though we will be able to include a full thesaurus and English<->Hebrew dictionary as part of our "registered" version.

NEW! On Thursday December 17th 1998, the PAX TV network aired a special introduction show on the Bible Codes.  It was a very nice introduction to the Bible Code subject.  I am currently in the process of digitizing that show to place online.

GenREP - a complete Generic Reverse Engineering Platform, will see the M6811 disassembler as its first add-in.  Creation is on hold until the new M6811 Win32 stand-alone is complete.

MIDI Router - The MIDI Router is a complete MIDI distribution box with note remapping whose main purpose is to provide easy mapping swaps for MIDI Drums. Recently, we've received some free samples for the probable target CPU for the MIDI Router -- the MC68HC11ED0CFN3.

Universal Sync Regenerator (aka Cable Descrambler) - Gets a New SyncGen Chip - Our testing with the all new Scenix Microcontroller (a 50+ MHz version of Microchip's PIC processors) has been very successful.  With a single processor, we've been able to successfully create the necessary video sync signals giving us a replacement for the CD22402 Harris part.  A full auto-lock methodology will soon be persued.

NEW! We have also located a nice PLL clock multiplier chip -- the ICS MK1547.  It looks to be a good replacement of the NE564 and associated loop-dividers as the frequency synthesizer to generate the horizontal-clock for the Scenix processor.

CO2 Cutting Laser project is on hold because of time and lack of financial resources.  Experimentation should resume when other projects are complete.
